Product features
● Measures rotational torque using an axle-to-axle piping configuration.
● Maximum speed up to 8,000 rpm; optional with speed output.
● Standard products do not include tachometer functionality; if you require a tachometer, please specify this when placing your order.
● Widely used for measuring the output torque and power of rotating power equipment such as electric motors and internal combustion engines, as well as for measuring the torque and power of fans, pumps, and gearboxes.
Installation Instructions
1. Measure the shaft diameter and center height of the sensor; pending installation.
2. Use two sets of couplings to mount the sensor between the power equipment and the load.
3. Adjust the center height and coaxiality of the power equipment, the load, and the sensor separately, ensuring that deviations are less than 0.05 mm. Then secure all components firmly to prevent any looseness. When using sensors with small measurement ranges or high rotational speeds, it is even more critical to strictly maintain proper center height and coaxiality of the connections; otherwise, measurement errors may occur, and the sensor could be damaged.
4. The sensor may be connected using either a rigid or an elastic coupling. When vibration is significant and the coaxiality is between 0.05 mm and 0.2 mm, an elastic coupling is recommended; if the coaxiality exceeds 0.2 mm, use of such a coupling is strictly prohibited.
5. The mounting base should have sufficient strength to ensure installation stability and prevent excessive vibration; otherwise, measurement data may become unstable, compromising measurement accuracy.
6. The coupling shall be mounted flush against the shaft shoulders at both ends of the sensor.
7. Regardless of whether the standard sensor is installed horizontally or vertically, it must not be subjected to excessive axial force or bending moment; otherwise, its performance may be compromised, and the sensor could even be damaged.
